I’ve noticed pricing differences based on age and/or sex and it makes me ponder about the business motives.
Maybe they’re trying to attract a certain crowd? Or maybe they’re attracting this particular crowd, so as to attract another even higher-rolling crowd to cross-subsidise operational costs.
The easiest example to come across is “Ladies’ Night” where ladies get to enter the establishment for free while guys pay less than exorbitant rates to get it.
So, is the business genuinely trying give the ladies a free experience or are they using them as a bait to lure in high-rolling male customers?
Thoughts, anyone?
