To start the ball rolling, I shall write about my favourite Lunch hang out. It’s amusingly named, With a Pinch of Salt, situated along Tanjong Katong Road.

The highlights of this cosy eatery is its delicious and affordable set-lunches. With no GST and service charges to load the bill, you pay only what’s written on the menu, which ranges from $8.90 to $12.90. The set-lunch comes with a choice of Appetiser, i.e. Soup of the Day or Salad, the Main Course, a choice of drink, i.e. fruit punch, lime juice, coffee or tea, and a choice of dessert, i.e. ice cream, cream caramel, or bread and butter pudding.

The choice of mains is a subset of what you can find from the main menu. The servings are reasonably sufficient and the food is absolutely delicious.

Personally, I’ve tried their Tom Yam Seafood Pasta, Jumbo Chicken Leg, Pan-seared Dory fish, Garlic-crusted Dory fish, and found them all above expectations.

Overall, it’s a beautiful and cosy eatery with awesome food and great prices. Try it out when you get the chance.
